If you follow me on Instagram it is no secret that I LOVE Versed skincare. All of their products are made of clean ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, sold at Target for under $20, and have super cute packaging. They’re basically an affordable Drunk Elephant. Seriously, what’s not to love?!
I’ve been putting a large majority of their skincare products to the test since October. And spoiler alert (if you couldn’t already tell) – I’m obsessed. Every time I post a photo of their products on Instagram I get a ton of DMs and texts asking me if their products are worth it. So, I thought it would be fun to round up all the products I have tried from Versed and give you guys my in-depth thoughts about them! Continue reading below for allll the deets.
*Just as a disclaimer… I purchased all of these products with my own money. I am not sponsored by Versed nor did they gift me any of the products mentioned. Just genuinely a big fan 🙂
A dreamy cleansing balm that melts away makeup (and yes ladies this includes your waterproof mascara) with ease. It’s very comparable to the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, but a fraction of the price. This cleansing balm has been a wonderful addition to my skincare routine and has become my go-to oil-based cleanser and the first step in my double-cleanse. It also has a delightfully light eucalyptus scent!
This is a newer Versed product that launched at the beginning of the year. It’s only been about 2 weeks of me using this toner, but it reminds me a lot of Tatcha’s the Essence. It leaves your skin feeling very soft, plump, and hydrated (lol – it gives you baby soft cheeks).
Quite possibly my favorite product I’ve tried from them (personally). This product contains willow bark and zinc and is so soothing on the skin. Since using this, I’ve noticed my skin tone is significantly more even. If you have rosacea or struggle with texture breakouts, this is a must try product!
I’m not sure how firming this serum really is… but it’s loaded with peptides and leaves my skin super glowy which I love. It’s a lot thicker than the Just Breathe Clarifying serum and reminds me of the Ordinary’s Buffet serum. To be honest, I’m probably going to go back to the Ordinary’s Buffet serum because I really don’t notice that much of a difference between these two products. I get similar results and you get the same 1oz/30mL of product in each of the bottles, but the Ordinary’s Buffet serum is $5 cheaper.
I was so excited when I finally got my hands on this product because it is the most sold item from Versed at Target. It was out of stock at my Target for months before I finally got my hands on it. But I have to say guys… this one kind of disappointed me.
I keep this product in my fridge so it extra cool and refreshing when I use it in the morning, which I do like. However, I have to be careful not to get this product too close to my waterline or my eyes start to burn. And given the fact that this is a product that is made to be close to your eyes, I probably won’t be re-purchasing this one. I much prefer the eye cream we’re discussing next.
I loveeee this eye cream for nighttime. It is loaded with peptides and gives such a pretty under-eye glow. I actually prefer it to the Vacation Eyes Brightening Gel. My only thing with this product is that it is super pearlescent, so it doesn’t play the nicest under makeup. I personally don’t love the look of my makeup when I wear this eye cream underneath because I wear so much highlighter (and with no shame might I add), so I just reserve it for nighttime use.
This product may be EXACTLY what every oily skinned girl (or guy) has been looking for. This is probably the best gel moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It’s hydrating without being greasy, and the green tea extract in it does wonders for shrinking pores. If you’re someone who has oily skin and has been looking for a moisturizer that isn’t too much – this is it.
This is a great moisturizer for anyone with normal to dry skin. In my opinion I think it would be too heavy for the oily skinned gals, but the ones with normal to dry skin will love this. It’s lighter in texture, but still very moisturizing and emollient. If you’re super dry because of the winter time or live in an area where it’s more dry then you may need something a bit heavier. I really want Versed to come out with a version of this with SPF in it because it would be the PERFECT day time moisturizer.
If you are only going to try one product from Versed, let it be this one. This facial peel is magic in a bottle. I haven’t found many products that I truly think work overnight, but this one is one of them. You’re supposed to cleanse your face and completely omit the rest of your skincare routine when using this. It contains lactic and glycolic acid, and gives similar results to the Sunday Riley Good Genes or Drunk Elephant BabyFacial. I personally think this product is much gentler on my skin than the BabyFacial.
In my experience, I had to use this product with another moisturizer because my skin is dry right now. The product’s packaging claims you don’t need to do this step, so not everyone will need to. Just listen to what your skin needs!
Before I go in-depth about all of the Versed masks I just want to give a special shout out to how genius their face mask packaging is. The squeeze tube pouch situation that they have going on gets a 12/10 from me. I just squeeze the product from the pouch right onto the silicone brush I use to apply face masks (which you can grab on Amazon here) and it’s 100% mess free.
Now back to the goop inside the packaging. This mask is very similar to the texture of hyaluronic acid. I don’t know what I was expecting when I first used this, but it wasn’t for it to be a clear gel. Nevertheless, I was not disappointed by any means. This mask is great if you need an additional hydration boost in your skincare regime.
This is my favorite of the three masks. I was truly amazed at how bright and tight this actually made my skin after one use – particularly the pores around my nose. This mask really does live up to its name of brightening and tightening, and would be great for anyone trying to combat dull skin or just wants a nice pick me up face mask.
This mask is literally always out of stock at my local Target and for all the right reasons. If you have combo/oily skin this mask may be a game changer for you. I’ve tried a million clay masks before and this one really does work. Full disclosure – I have only used this mask one time. But, the one time I did test it out I was having a bad breakout on my cheek from a product reaction. This mask really did the most to pull out all the gunk and grime from my pores.
