Okay seriously… how is it already almost 2021?! 2020 was definitely a year for the books- from facing a global pandemic, to making the leap to self-employment full-time, and everything in between. 2020 will certainly not be forgotten (or missed by any means 😂).
I’m usually one to ~stress~ about setting goals at the start of the new year. There’s all this added pressure surrounding it, and sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing or what direction I’m heading in. Then, you throw a year like 2020 into the mix and it feels like it’s impossible for my type A personality to plan for anything. So, in 2021 I’m approaching goal setting with a different mindset.
I’m focusing on five key projects (many of which are already in the works 😉) for growth. If they happen and I get to check the box, great! If they don’t, oh well! That means I keep it on the goal list for 2022 and just keep on working until I get there! I don’t need to accomplish everything I’ve ever set out to do in my lifetime all within a year. It’s not the end of the world if a goal isn’t completed. So, keep reading for some of the biz goals I’m setting for Socially Taylored for 2021! And as always, feel free to comment below or DM me with any questions!!
2020 was no-doubt a year of explosive growth for me. I obtained enough clients to be able to leave my 9-5 job and take Socially Taylored full-time (which was my #1 goal in 2020). Now, 2021 will be focused on growing and nurturing the team I need to help me maintain the growth.
I’ve taken a long, hard evaluation with where I’m at in my biz and where I need help. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be looking to welcome a content manager, a VA, an bookkeeper/accountant, and a podcast manager to the Socially Taylored team throughout 2021. It will definitely be a process, but I am so excited to expand this part of my business!!
*Sighs in shame*….. so remember in my 2020 Business Goals blog post when I said email marketing was going to be one of the main focuses of my 2020? Yeah… that didn’t happen, so we’re trying again in 2021 😂
Email marketing is something I’ve put on the back burner, and I know I shouldn’t have because it’s SO important. I mean, look at everything that happened with TikTok this year. How else would you directly communicate with your audience if social media platforms were to just… shut down? But alas, there are so many hours in the day and I am only one person.
As Socially Taylored continues into 2021, I’m aiming to get my email list to it’s first 1,000 subscribers. If you’re not already subscribed, be sure to do so by clicking here! There will be tons of social media tips, freebies, products I’m just obsessed with, and more coming your way!
This one is a bit ambitious, but I think I can do it. 2021 is going to be the year that I hit my first $10K month!! It’s a huge income milestone to hit in the online entrepreneurship space, and I’ve been hovering around $5K months since I took Socially Taylored full-time. January 2021 is the first month I’m projected to surpass the $6K mark, so 2021 has to be the year I hit my first $10K month.
Whether it be guest speaking on more podcasts, hosting more masterclasses or workshops, or speaking at conferences and digital summits- I really want to put myself out there as a public speaker in 2021. Public speaking is always something I’ve enjoyed doing and find fun, and I would love to share my knowledge about social media and paid advertising on a larger scale!
And you know what, I’m manifesting that someday you WILL see me speaking on the stage of big name conferences like Create & Cultivate and Later.
Notice how I said “the” and not “a” 😉. This passion project is something that I’ve been working on for MONTHS with my old college roomie and bff Chloe Willemsen. We’re excited to share alllllll the details with you guys SO SOON, but for now go follow @ceoishpodcast on Instagram for instant updates and info!
And that’s it! If you’re interested in my social media or paid advertising services in 2021, please contact me here and I’ll be in touch! Feel free to comment below or DM me with any questions (or suggestions) as I’d love to hear from you or help your business in 2021. 🙂
